GBTV #539 (medium) | iMovie Update, Twitter Update, PS2 Price Drop, Peekaru, ThumbSaver, DMC-GH1
2009
Apple released an update to iLife ‘09. Most notable in the update is the ability to export 720p video in iMovie, among some other changes.
I’ve been waiting for a change Twitter just made, and I wasn’t completely sure they were going to give it to us. If you use a Twitter desktop application, like TweetDeck, you’re probably like me in that you get frustrated when you go to the Twitter website. In the past on the website itself, you could only see @replies that started with @calilewis (as an example), but now you’ll be able to see any tweet that includes your @username in the message, beginning, middle or end.
Sony didn’t drop the price of the PS3, like I speculated yesterday, but the PS2 is now under $100.
If you’re looking for a good Father’s Day gift, take a look at The Thumbsaver. It’s designed to help you avoid banging your thumb. Panasonic will be releasing the DMC-GH1 in Japan soon. It shoots in 1080p video, like my beloved Canon 5D Mark II.
